    Strategic Priority 1

    updated June 2018

      • The District implemented new curriculum resources in reading, writing, and math at grades K - 5 and a new curriculum writing resource at grades 6 - 8. MAP scores have remained mostly consistent this year compared to last with expected growth over time.
      • A Strategic Plan for special education was created as a result of a Special Education Audit. The plan includes three goal areas consisting of action steps, expected outcomes, and evidence of attainment in the areas of 1)Instructional Practices, 2) Communication and 3) Collaboration as well as Vision, Mission and Leadership.
      • To further address the needs outlined in the Special Education Audit Report, elementary learning behavior specialist staff have been added as well as a special education coordinator to further support the goals outlined in the Strategic Plan for Special Education in District 41.
      • Team 21 surveyed staff in the fall and in the spring asking staff to self identify as a below novice user, novice user, average user or superuser in various areas on Google Apps for Educators (GAFE) and the SAMR Model. 218 staff members responded in the fall, 99 staff members responded in the spring. Technology trainings were offered throughout the district in February through May. In addition, elementary teachers had the opportunity to work toward their Google Certification at the March Institute Day.
