Isolation: a person who tests positive for COVID-19 must remain in Isolation for 10 days from the day symptoms started (or from the date of specimen collection if asymptomatic).

Quarantine: anyone who is a close contact to a positive COVID-19 case or a probable COVID-19 case must be quarantined for 14 days after the last date of contact with the case while the case was infectious. (infection period starts 48 hours from day of symptom onset or 48 hours prior to specimen collection if asymptomatic) If the close contact develops symptoms during the 14 day quarantine, they become a probable case and follow Isolation rules.

Close Contact: an individual who was within 6 feet of an infected person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24 hour period starting from 2 days before illness onset (or, for asymptomatic patients, 2 days prior to test specimen collection).

Probable case: Meets clinical criteria AND is epidemiologically linked or has a positive antigen test.
