    Kindergarten Registration
Thank you to all families who registered for kindergarten! We truly appreciate your early registrations, as they play a vital role in helping us plan for staffing, classroom locations, and resources to ensure a smooth and successful start to the school year.  If you have not registered yet, please CLICK HERE to register - Don’t delay!

For the 2025-26 school year, District 41 will offer full-day kindergarten to all families at no additional cost in the new Kindergarten Center located on the campus of Churchill School, 240 Geneva Road in Glen Ellyn. Families that do not choose full-day kindergarten will follow the current half-day model.

Here are the latest updates based on registration to date: (as of March 1, 2025)

    Half-Day Kindergarten Locations
Students who have registered for half-day kindergarten at Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin and Forest Glen schools will be placed at their homeschool. Decisions related to a.m. or p.m. sections will be made at a later date.

There are currently not enough students registered to fill a half-day kindergarten class at Churchill School. This could change as more registrations come in. We will connect individually with Churchill families who have registered for half-day to discuss options that best meet their needs.

Note: From this point on, new kindergarten registrations for half-day will not guarantee that your child will be placed at your homeschool. Decisions being made about half-day locations from this point forward will be based on class-size numbers and approval by the superintendent.

Full-Day Kindergarten at the Kindergarten Center
Over 230 students are registered for full-day kindergarten at the Kindergarten Center, with numbers expected to grow slightly as new families move into the district boundaries and register.

Dual Language Full-Day Kindergarten at Churchill School
The Dual Language Program (K-5) will be located at Churchill Elementary School and will only offer full-day kindergarten next year. Dual Language students will use the new kindergarten playground and also have opportunities to collaborate with full-day kindergarten students at the Kindergarten Center. Click here for more information about Dual Language.

    Before- and After-School Care
Before- and after-school care will be available at all District 41 school buildings, including the new Kindergarten Center next school year. These programs are offered in partnership with the B.R. Ryall YMCA and the Glen Ellyn Park District. Agreements will be presented to the District 41 Board of Education for approval. More details will be shared once agreements are finalized.

    Kindergarten Center Transportation
Transportation will be available to students who qualify for district-provided transportation and attend the Kindergarten Center. For families who choose to utilize district transportation, a bus will pick up each child in their neighborhood. We will work with the transportation company to determine if neighborhood stops or driveway pickups will be offered. Students will be taken directly to the Kindergarten Center.
