District 41 is known for high student academic achievement and growth, a strong sense of community, and active family involvement. We serve about 3,600 children from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade in four elementary schools and one junior high school.
We also offer unique opportunities for our students including Foreign Language at the Elementary Schools (½ hour of Spanish everyday starting in 1st grade), optional Dual Language Program, and Problem-Based Learning throughout the school year, to name a few.
There is much to be celebrated in the area of teaching and learning across the entire district. According to the most recent PARCC assessment data, we are above the state in all areas. Also, the 2018 PARCC district scores are better than the majority of our benchmark districts. This year, we have the highest PARCC scores in our district to date. We sincerely appreciate the support from the community to make this a great district. The majority of the revenue for the district does come from local tax dollars. District41 is proud to be a strong investment with the combination of lower costs per pupil and high performing in comparison to our benchmark districts. A report presented to the Board of Education by Advantage Analytics brings together academic data with demographics and finance, highlighting the return on investment for our families.
We are currently in the second year of our Long-Range Plan. We believe that our progress must be monitored, reflected upon, celebrated, and shared with our Board of Education, parents, staff and community. Please click here for the Long-Range Plan. It provides a comprehensive overview of District 41 and the progress being made over time in all areas.
