• What Does Each Model Look Like?

    FULL IN-PERSON MODEL (5 days a week)

    in person
    • Prek will be 8:50-11:20 or 12:40-3:10.
    • Kindergarten will be 8:30-11 or 1:00-3:30. Kindergarteners will not engage in specials to allow for additional content time.
    • Grades 1-8 will be from 8:30-3:30 
    • Lunch will occur with 6 feet spacing and will be provided in classrooms and alternate locations (gyms, multi-purpose rooms, cafeteria, outside). Lunch in alternative locations will occur in picnic style.  Lunch locations will alternate and students will be asked to bring a towel/washable mat to enjoy lunch on. 
    • Students who are enrolled in band will have additional PPE and instrument covers for additional mitigation.
    • Specials/Electives will occur daily during the school day.
    • Students’ classroom teachers may change.
    • Students who are eligible for and use District bus transportation will be on a bus with no more than 49 students and a driver.
    • Recess will occur daily but will not involve playground equipment.  Indoor recess due to inclimate weather will occur in the student’s classrooms at their seat. 
    • Students will be required to self-certify in Skyward promptly before 7:30am. 
    • Saliva testing will very likely be mandatory for all in-person students.  Students who do not test will not be allowed to be in-person for that week.  More detailed information regarding testing will be forthcoming. We anticipate that the sample drop off will be on M, T, W.  If you do not submit a sample by Wednesday, you are remote until the following Monday.  Students will be required to submit a saliva sample on Monday in order to return to school. Failure to do so will result in the student being moved into the remote model for the remainder of the year.
    • The number of close contacts and students out on quarantine may increase due to 3 feet distance between students.

     

    FULL REMOTE MODEL (5 days a week)

    • remote Prek will be 8:50-11:20 or 12:40-3:10.
    • Kindergarten will be 8:30-11 or 1:00-3:30. Kindergarteners will not engage in specials to allow for additional content time.
    • Grades 1-8 will be from 8:30-3:30 
    • Specials/Electives will occur daily but may be with a different specials teacher from the district
    • Students’ classroom teacher(s) may change and students may be mixed across buildings. 
    • In some cases (AEC, Dual Language, Hadley electives, band/orchestra) may need to be live streamed for remote students.
    • Schedules will change to reflect a full day of learning
    • Students will have a 45 minute lunch break

     

    Transportation

    • bus We will be limited to a max capacity of 49 students (plus the bus driver) on a bus. We continue to ask that parents who can provide transportation, do so.
    • Bus eligible students who opt to use D41 bus transportation will need to meet the following criteria in order to board the bus:
    • Daily wellness self-certification completed by parent/guardian before entering the bus
    • Wear a mask while waiting for the bus, while on the bus, and disembarking from the bus
