All District 41 students are currently in the Full Remote Model. By using our Board approved COVID-19 Surveillance Screening Program, we will determine if we are safe to come back to the blended in-person model no later than Wednesday, December 2. As of November 25 our goal remains to return to the blended in-person model on Thursday, December 3.clic para espanol
We moved all District 41 students to the full remote model starting on Monday, November 16. We reached a point where we are not able to cover classes across the school district due to staff being out for sickness, quarantine or testing positive. The community transmission and the need for both students and staff to be on quarantine continues to increase. We have seen an increase in the number of positive cases identified in our students and staff as well as in the numbers of students and staff on quarantine. We have had to pull staff away from their primary responsibilities to cover classrooms. While we are all in agreement about the importance of in-person learning for those who want it, we have hit a point where we must take an Adaptive Pause so that we do not jeopardize the safety of students and staff. Making the shift to remote is not an easy decision but it is a necessary one.
All students will keep their current teachers
Students currently on quarantine will be assigned back to the original teacher on 11/16
Teachers will let in-person students know how to connect online starting Monday.
No disruption to the school calendar

Welcome to Churchill Elementary School!
We are looking forward to a rewarding and exciting school year at Churchill Elementary School. Whether your family is new to Churchill or your children are returning to us after summer break, we look forward to continuing and developing a strong home-school relationship. Our talented staff and devoted PTA will continue to work together to address your children’s social, emotional, and academic needs.
I currently reside in the Northwest suburbs with my family however I grew up just outside Denver, Colorado. My hobbies include spending time with family and friends, reading, watching lacrosse and shopping. My years of experience in education, along with being a lifelong learner have shaped my thinking and my practice with students, parents and staff. My experiences in education have focused on collaboration in the following areas: social emotional learning, implementation of RtI, special education, as well as language learning and dual language programming. It is my philosophy that all students can and will learn. It is the entire team’s drive to “do whatever it takes” to support and accelerate student learning at Churchill. We make a difference in each and every child’s success. We will uphold the D41 values to continue to promote curious, critical thinkers who are educationally prepared to imagine the endless possibilities.
Our community is dedicated to creating a climate that meets the needs of each child and ensures each student becomes an enthusiastic and successful life-long learner. We all know that positive, strong partnerships between teachers and parents are an essential component for creating highly successful students. Your contributions to your child’s education at home and at school are sincerely valued and greatly appreciated.
My door is always open, so please stop by, introduce yourself and let us know how we can work together to support your student(s) to ensure success for all at Churchill School! We wish everyone a safe return to school, and look forward to sharing a wonderful and memorable school year partnering to achieve success for all.
