Welcome to Churchill! We are excited about another year of learning together. Principal Rachel SolomonMyself as well as Assistant Principal Tim Shermak are looking forward to a rewarding and exciting school year at Churchill Elementary School. Whether your family is new to Churchill or your children are returning to us after summer break, we look forward to continuing and developing a strong home-school relationship. Our talented staff and devoted PTA will continue to work together to address your children’s social, emotional, and academic needs.

We know that the beginning of this school year will be unlike any other and we are busy preparing to welcome the community back. I know that we have all been through a difficult time dealing with the challenges of COVID. Our work will continue to align with our vision and mission of building strong and meaningful relationships with our students and providing rigorous and effective instruction for all students. We will bridge together what we know and have learned to be true about best teaching practices. We will continue to prioritize instructional time in order to give our students what they need to be successful now, and at the next level. To ensure a great start for each child, the staff and I have spent time analyzing student performance data, identifying successful strategies for teaching and reaffirming our commitment to make Churchill an environment that reflects high expectations and opportunities for all students.

Please know that we are committed to the education and success of each child and seek to nurture a strong partnership between home and school. I look forward to working collaboratively with you to ensure a high quality instructional program, where all students are learning and thriving.

I am very excited to welcome everyone back to Churchill for this school year!

    Sincerely,
Rachel B. Solomon, M.S.W., Ed. S. Principal, Churchill Elementary School
