Message from the Superintendent
After a long pause due to the pandemic beginning in March 2020, District 41 is now restarting the Strategic Planning Process. I am pleased to share that the Board of Education has approved a partnership with the Steve Webb Group, LLC. Dr. Webb will help facilitate the new Strategic Planning Process for District 41. The process began in October of 2021 and is scheduled to wrap up in March 2022. Please review Dr. Webb's outline of the work the District administration together with its stakeholders will be engaging in.Launching phase
The consultant facilitates the internal facing conversations with the district leadership team (Administrative team) to restart the process.Learning phase
Conducting an internal facing SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, and Threat) needs assessment and taking stock of system performance in closing opportunity and achievement gaps. This Phase was completed in 2020.
Listening phase
A community survey was launched to solicit feedback on District 41’s strengths, opportunities for growth, and its aspirations. We will engage with internal and external stakeholders in future search focus group conversations to identify shared aspirational hopes and dreams for the district’s children, families, employees and community.
Leveraging phase
The Strategic Planning Committee with support from the consultant, develops, refines, and finalizes documents based on feedback and district staff input. The DRAFT plan is published and community feedback is solicited before the plan is finalized for Board action.
More information will be shared as we move through this process. We look forward to engaging with all of our stakeholders over the next six months. Thank you in advance for your participation in this important work for the future of our school district.
Dr. Melissa Kaczkowski
