Regulations
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, established in law in 1975, retains the basic rights and protections for children with disabilities. Since 1997, amendments to the Act and new legislation have passed that focus on improving the education of children with disabilities. The overall goal of the changes is to have increased communication and transparency with our parents. This section of our Student Services page, is meant to highlight and easily explain some of the mandates affecting the IEP process and provide guidance and resources to parents.
