- serving students from parts of Glen Ellyn, Glendale Heights, Carol Stream, Lombard, and Wheaton.
Glen Ellyn School District 41 is working daily to ensure every student knows they belong and are a member of a community that values and respects each person, celebrates our differences, embraces what we have in common, and honors our diversity in language, culture and ability.
This year we have kicked off our W.O.W. campaign to foster a Warm-Open-Welcoming environment for every student, parent, staff, and community member. The power of W.OW. should be felt by every person who walks into any of our schools or district office. I want to hear from our community if you have been WOWed by one of our staff members. Please send me a note at email@example.com and include a brief message telling me about your experience.
District 41 is known for high student academic achievement and growth, a strong sense of community, and active family involvement. We serve about 3,600 children from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade in four elementary schools and one junior high. We are in our second year of implementing a new math and literacy curriculum, and are very pleased with the tremendous amount of time and effort all of our educators have put forth to make a difference in every child’s life.
District 41 also offers unique opportunities for our students including Foreign Language at the Elementary Schools (½ hour of Spanish everyday starting in 1st grade), optional Dual Language Program, and Problem-Based Learning to name a few.
We recently implemented a new, five-year Long-Range Plan to ensure we continue to support and intentionally plan for the learning of all of our students. We believe that our progress must be monitored, reflected upon, celebrated and shared with our Board of Education, parents, staff and community. Please click here to review our progress from January 2017 through the beginning of May 2017.
If you have any questions about District 41 and our schools, please do not hesitate to contact the District office at (630) 790-6400.
