FLES students in 5th grade and 8th grade will be assessed each spring for language proficiency based on the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) Proficiency Guidelines.
ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines
The proficency assessment to be used is the ACTFL Assessment of Performance toward Proficency in Languages (AAPPL)
AAPPL Measure

- Enter middle school above the beginning levels
