• Glen Ellyn School District 41 PTA Council

The Glen Ellyn District 41 PTA Council consists of an executive board and representatives from all five District 41 schools: Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin, Churchill, Forest Glen and Hadley Junior High School. The Council works to facilitate communication between the district administration and the PTAs. The Council's task is to share ideas and act as a medium through which our PTAs can work together to tackle problems and issues that are beyond the scope of the individual PTA. The council encourages its members to consider problems and solutions on a district-wide scale, and facilitates united planning and cooperative efforts to enhance the education of children in District 41. The District 41 PTA Council also acts as a link between the Illinois State PTA and our local units. The council president (or a representative) attends state or regional PTA meetings to share ideas and concerns with representatives from other PTA Councils.  Information gathered at these meetings is brought back and shared with our Council. In addition, representatives from District 41 Council are invited to attend the Illinois State PTA Convention, which is traditionally held in April, as well as the annual National PTA Convention.

The District 41 PTA Council holds monthly meetings from September through May (December excluded). At each meeting, reports are given by the Superintendent, Council officers, local unit presidents, and the chairpersons of our standing committees and School Board Representative.
