Typing ClubStudents in grades 1-5 have an account with Typing Club. This website provides students with typing experiences from games, videos and different typing challenges that make learning the keyboard fun! Monarch Reading Program (Grades K-2)Bluestem Reading Program (Grades 3-5)
All students in grades 3-5 are encouraged to participate in our Bluestem reading incentives program. There are 3 milestone events for Bluestem readers throughout the year. Check out the 2018 Bluestem Book List and submit a 2017-2018 Bluestem Online Review after you finish reading each book. Access the Bluestem parent letter (Spanish Version) here.
Battle of the BooksForest Glen 5th graders participate in the Battle of the Books program with other D41 elementary schools. This program takes place in the early spring and book lists will be shared with participants.
Welcome to Forest Glen's MakerSpace!Makerspaces, sometimes also referred to as hackerspaces, hackspaces, and fablabs are creative, DIY spaces where people can gather to create, invent, and learn. In libraries they often have 3D printers, computer programs, electronics, craft and hardware supplies and tools, and more. Forest Glen is proud to offer students the opportunity to visit our Makerspace! Students are welcome to explore, build, tinker, and create.
