Buildings & Grounds

Buildings and Grounds is dedicated to providing facilities that enhance student learning. B&G works to ensure that our facilities accommodate and adequately support current educational needs and allow for flexibility to support long-term future needs. The school buildings and grounds are maintained according to annual and long-term plans. We will continually evaluate facilities and strategically plan for the maintenance of all buildings and grounds. Buildings are cleaned using methods established by the Illinois Green Government Coordinating Council.

The use of facilities for school purposes has precedence over all other uses, however schools are available to community organizations during non-school hours. To request space, please use the online facility request process.

Dave Scarmardo, Executive Director of Buildings and Grounds, oversees district facilities construction projects, maintenance, repairs, and safety/security planning, ensuring safe, clean, and healthy environments. He leads staff and contractors, collaborates with stakeholders, and co-chairs the district's Safety and Security Planning committee.
