Job Sharing Leave

Job sharing is defined as an employment arrangement in which two (2) individuals share one position and at least one (1) of the two is tenured and has been granted a job-sharing leave of absence.

A job-sharing leave may be granted to a tenured teacher at the discretion of the Board of Education. The goal of a job-sharing arrangement is to provide benefits to all parties involved, teachers, the children, and District 41. To aid in reaching this goal, it is appropriate that all parties to a job-sharing arrangement have a common understanding of their rights and responsibilities.
