Glen Ellyn School District 41 has immediate openings in its free interactive program for preschoolers ages 3-5 and their parents (or caregiver) together. “Partners in Learning” classes meet on Wednesdays at the First Presbyterian Church of Glen Ellyn, 550 N. Main St. Classes begin Oct. 10. Register for either the morning session, 9:30-11 a.m., or afternoon session, 1-2:30 p.m. Each day is fun, different and a chance for parents and children to learn and play together in a school setting. The sessions promote school readiness and cross-cultural interaction with stories, art activities, parent-child activities, free choice activities, and a nutritious snack. There are also take-home activities as well as a toy and book lending library. “Partners in Learning” also provides child-development and parenting information and a chance for parents and caregivers to talk together on these issues. Although the grant-funded program is free to District 41 residents, participants must register and class size is limited. For more information on “Partners in Learning,” or to register, please call Partners in Learning at (630) 534-7662. Transportation is provided if needed. Participants are asked to use the Anthony St. entrance--just look for the Partners in Learning sign.
