During its fifth annual Tribute to the United States, Benjamin Franklin teacher Casey DePaepe’s first grade students demonstrated what they’ve learned about the 50 states, and offered appreciation of our country’s veterans. Their rousing performance included songs, dance and recitations. The red, white and blue outfitted students thanked each of those veterans who were in attendance, presenting them with a small flag. “You are truly our heroes,” Casey told the veterans.
