Community members are invited to enjoy a light breakfast and to listen, learn and discuss education issues with elected officials and education advocates. Featured guests include State Senator Dan Cronin, State Representative Sandra Pihos, Dean Clark from the State Board of Education, Regional Superintendent Dr. Darlene Ruscitti, and Legislative Education Network of DuPage lobbyist Peg Agnos. Learn how legislative initiatives such as No Child Left Behind and school funding laws (existing and proposed) affect education on the local and national levels and talk directly with those who can voice your concerns in Springfield and Washington D.C.

'Education affects our everyday quality of life, regardless of whether we have children in school,' says District 41 PTA Council Legislative Co-Chairperson Danae Marcus. 'This is a wonderful opportunity, whether you come to listen, express your viewpoint or ask questions. The speakers are very accessible, and the breakfast is an informal and friendly place to discuss how politics, policy and education relate to each other. It's also an ideal time to voice local concerns and expectations. We welcome everyone in the community to come listen, learn and be heard, regardless of whether they live within District 41.'
