Special Ed Overview Nov. 1
District 41 parents are invited to an overview of the District's Special Education programs and services. The informational session will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 1, from 7-9 p.m. at the Central Service Office, 793 N. Main St., Glen Ellyn. The session will feature presentations by Director of Special Education Jan Palmer and other members of the Special Education staff. District 41 offers a continuum of Special Education services to approximately 13% of District 41 children, from those who need speech therapy to those with profound disabilities needing highly individualized, comprehensive programs. In compliance with state and federal law, District 41 provides free, appropriate special educational services for eligible children who may have a physical, mental or learning impairment that adversely impacts educational progress.
