Monday is D41 Books & Burgers at McDonald's
Continuing a tradition, District 41 will hold a Books & Burgers fundraiser on Monday, Oct. 23, from 5-8 p.m. at McDonald's, 445 Roosevelt Rd., Glen Ellyn. District 41 will receive 20% of the proceeds from orders placed by District 41 residents during that time period. You don't have to have school-age children for your order to count toward the donation, just reside in the District. A McDonald's character will be on hand to meet, greet and add to the fun. Proceeds will be used to purchase math materials to enhance math instruction. Numerous staff members will be volunteering as order-takers, servers, table cleaners and more, and kids get a kick out of seeing their school staff members 'working' at McDonald's.
