On behalf of Glen Ellyn School District 41, I want to thank the community of voters for officially approving the $24.2 million bond referendum.
On Monday, April 24, the DuPage County Election Commission certified the election results.
Thanks to the support of the community, our students and teachers will now all safely be under one roof, will have improved infrastructure across the district, and will spend the school day safer in our buildings.
A special thank you to the 41 Forward for Kids committee for helping to inform the community about the needs of our school facilities. Thank you to Co-Chairs Lee Fruit and Jodi Herbold for leading the efforts to help pass the referendum.
As our next step, Liz Hennessy of William Blair & Co., along with representatives from the District 41 Finance Advisory Committee, will present financing options to the Board of Education on May 15, 7 p.m. at the Central Services Office. The meeting is open to the public.
We look forward to continuing to engage with the community as we move forward with planning and construction.
